The Summer Rose
In an instant a wisp joins soil.
I feel the spirit’s beauty and power.
It touches my soul. It teaches me life;
First tremor to the flower.
In an instant the Summer Rose appears;
So small, so sweet, so new.
She touches my heart. She teaches me love
More profound than I ever knew.
Now each instant is a wonder.
I give thanks as she’s in repose.
She’s mine for now. I’m hers forever.
The beautiful Summer Rose.
